Chapter 30 is a different pot of money from Post-9/11. Some people can use one, some can choose. A school that only knows Chapter 33 will leave money on the table.

People who paid into MGIB and have a qualifying discharge.

Proof you paid the $1,200 MGIB reduction if applicable

Apply on VA.gov and ask which chapter you actually hold.
Compare monthly rates to Post-9/11 for your school.
Only then let the school certify a term.
