About

A map. Not a filing shop.

Shield 2 Storm helps veterans, service members, and families find the published door — then hands them the official page. We do not file claims. We do not take a percentage of a rating. We do not pull a consumer report.

Our founder

Stephanie Timberlake

U.S. Army veteran · Desert Storm, 25th Signal Battalion, Fort Bragg, NC

A veteran deserves more than “thank you for your service.”

Stephanie Timberlake was born and raised in Bainbridge, Georgia, into a family of military men. On December 3, 1986, she became the first woman in three generations of that family to answer the call — enlisting in the U.S. Army and serving seven years, including a deployment to the Gulf War with the 25th Signal Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, during Desert Storm.

She is the mother of two sons who carried that service forward. Terrell served eight years in the Army as a JAG paralegal; he has since passed, and his family carries his service and his memory forward with pride. Christopher continues the legacy today as a teacher at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Stephanie built Shield 2 Storm on what her own family has lived twice over: a veteran deserves more than a handshake and a “thank you.” They deserve the rating they earned, the education they paid for with years of their life, and the health care and housing that shouldn’t take a law degree to find — mapped by someone who has actually stood in that line.

What this is

A standalone veteran-services site. Search, lane filters, how-to guides, and a prequal engine that scores programs against published eligibility — likely, maybe, or not this path.

It is not an official Department of Veterans Affairs or Department of Defense website. It is not a law firm, claims agent, or lender.

What comes next

  • VA Lighthouse APIs for confirmation, claims status, and facilities — behind veteran consent.
  • GI Bill Comparison Tool dataset so a school search lives on this site, not only on VA.gov.
  • Nearest medical center, clinic, and Vet Center by ZIP from the public facilities feed.
  • State veteran-benefit overlays once we can cite an official state source per row.
