PACT Act: file the condition, not the hashtag

  1. Read the current presumptive list on VA.gov the week you file. It is not the 2022 press release.
  2. If you were denied before the law changed, that is often a Supplemental Claim — not a brand-new first filing for the same issue.
  3. Write the locations and dates. “I was in the sandbox” is not a location.
  4. An accredited VSO is useful when the exposure history is a stack of orders, not one deployment sticker.
