Find an accredited representative before you pay anyone

Accreditation is a searchable public list. A Facebook “claims guy” is not the same thing.

Search the VA Office of General Counsel accreditation list.
DAV, VFW, American Legion, and state VSOs do not take a percentage of a rating for the claim itself.
If someone wants money up front to “guarantee a rating,” walk.
Bring the decision letter and a one-page list of conditions. Do not hand them a trash bag of paper.
