CHAMPVA

Health coverage for the spouse or child of a veteran who is 100% permanently and totally disabled, or who died of a service-connected condition.

CHAMPVA is not TRICARE. It is a VA program for certain family members. Eligibility is specific. Do not assume a 90% rating opens it.

  2. Download the CHAMPVA application from VA.gov.
  3. Mail or submit the packet and keep a copy.
