Arro is a credit-building company, and its paid product, Arro Credit Builder, is a subscription that adds a reported tradeline to your file and comes with an AI money coach called Artie. It adds positive payment history. It is not dispute software: it does not work on negative items that are already on your report.
People search “Arro AI credit repair” because Arro publishes a well-ranked article on AI credit repair. That article explains the category in general terms. This page sticks to what Arro’s own product pages and support center say the product does, and where it fits next to a dispute tool.
Short answer
What Arro Credit Builder includes (verified September 22, 2026)
- Price: $12/month, no commitment. The FAQ says it starts at $0.99 for the first month, then $12/month. Pay for 3 months and the 4th is free. An annual plan works out to $8/month, billed once a year.
- Tradeline: a $2,000 reported tradeline, reported monthly to Experian and Equifax — two of the three bureaus. TransUnion is not listed for Credit Builder.
- Who is behind the line: the tradeline appears on your report from Upward, Arro’s partner. The credit builder line of credit is provided by Cross River Bank, Member FDIC.
- Application: soft inquiry only, no hard pull. Requirements include being 18+, a physical U.S. address, email, phone, and an SSN or ITIN.
- Score tracking: the support center describes “weekly credit score visibility”; the product page advertises “real-time credit score updates.”
- Artie, the AI money coach: 24/7 answers, budgeting insights, and bite-sized credit lessons.
- Not spendable: the support center says Credit Builder is not a credit card, not a loan, and not a guarantee, and the account cannot be used at stores.
- Card path: Arro describes a route to the separate Arro Credit Card (complete 13 lessons, make 6 on-time Credit Builder payments, connect a bank account to Budget Insights). Credit Builder is optional for the card and does not guarantee approval.

Two things Arro’s site does not say. It does not describe Arro filing disputes with the credit bureaus or with creditors for you. Its AI credit repair article explains how dispute tools work in general, but the Credit Builder page and support articles describe reporting, coaching, and lessons — not disputes. And its results are framed carefully: Arro’s own disclosure says on-time payments “may” help and late payments may hurt.
What “AI credit repair” usually means
Credit repair, in the sense the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) cares about, is about what is already on your report. You have the right to dispute information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or that the furnisher cannot verify. The bureau has to investigate, usually within 30 days, and correct or delete what does not hold up. You can also dispute directly with the company that furnished the data.
“AI credit repair” software automates that work: it reads the report, flags items that look wrong, drafts a dispute for each one, and tracks the responses. Arro’s own article describes the category the same way.
Credit building is a different job. It adds new, positive data — an account paid on time, month after month. It does nothing to an inaccurate collection sitting on the same report. Neither approach can remove accurate negative information, and no tool can guarantee a deletion or a score change.
Arro vs a dispute tool like 850ai
| Job | Arro Credit Builder | 850ai |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $12/month ($0.99 first month; $8/month billed annually) | DIY $59.99, Auto $99.99, AutoMax $199.99 per month; no free plan |
| Bureaus | Reports to Experian and Equifax | Reads Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion |
| What it changes on the report | Adds one positive tradeline ($2,000 line) | Challenges items already there; the bureau or furnisher decides the outcome |
| Disputes | Arro’s site does not describe filing disputes | Account-specific letter per item; tracks the cycle; can escalate to the creditor and a CFPB complaint |
| Mailing | Not applicable | Prints and mails USPS First Class with a stamp; nothing mails until you click send or Deploy |
| AI | Artie, a money coach for budgeting and credit questions | Reads the reports and drafts the dispute letters |
Price alone is not the comparison. Arro is cheaper because it does a narrower job: report one account. A dispute tool is doing ongoing work on specific items, including printing and mailing letters. Pick by the problem you have, not by the monthly number.
Who should use which
- Thin file, nothing wrong on it → a builder. If you are new to credit, new to the U.S., or rebuilding with few open accounts, a reported tradeline paid on time adds history. A $2,000 line with a low reported balance can also help your overall utilization. Arro fits here, and so do other builders. See how to build credit from scratch.
- Errors on the report → a dispute. A collection you already paid or never owed, a 30-day late you have proof you paid on time, a balance that is wrong, or an account opened by an identity thief: a new tradeline will not touch any of these. Those need a dispute with the bureau and often the furnisher. Start with how to dispute credit report errors.
- Both problems → both approaches. Plenty of files have a few inaccurate items and too little positive history. Disputing does not add history, and building does not remove errors. Running them side by side is reasonable, as long as every payment you add is one you can make on time.
Before paying anyone, pull your reports free at AnnualCreditReport.com. You can dispute directly with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion at no cost. Software saves time and keeps the paper trail organized; it does not unlock rights you do not already have.
Where to go next
If you came here looking for dispute software rather than a credit builder, our comparison of the best AI credit repair tools covers the products that actually file disputes. If you want 850ai to read all three bureaus, draft a letter for each item, and mail it once you approve, plans are on the pricing page. We will not promise deletions or score increases — accurate items stay, and the bureaus decide every investigation.
