Dispute Beast is an AI letter generator: its software is free, but it only works while you pay for a partner three-bureau credit monitoring subscription that starts at $49.99 a month. 850ai is a paid dispute plan (from $59.99/month) that reads your Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion reports, drafts a letter for each item, and prints and mails it for you. The one real difference is the envelope. With Dispute Beast you either download the letters and mail them yourself, or pay Sprint Mail, a third-party mail house, a separate per-mailing charge. With 850ai, mailing is part of the plan workflow.

Where Dispute Beast is a good fit
- You want the monitoring anyway. Dispute Beast’s FAQ says the letter engine costs nothing once you connect Beast Credit Monitoring or ProCreditWatch, and that you can generate as many letters as you need. If you would pay for three-bureau monitoring regardless, the dispute software rides along at no extra charge.
- You are comfortable mailing letters yourself. Their FAQ says you can download every letter free, print it, address the envelopes, add stamps, and mark the attack as mailed in your account. If you already own a printer and stamps, that keeps your cost at the monitoring fee.
- You want to send letters beyond the big three. Their own material describes a three-level approach: bureaus, data furnishers, and secondary bureaus such as LexisNexis and Innovis.
- You want a phone app. Their homepage lists an iOS app, free to download.
Where 850ai is a better fit
- You do not want to handle the envelope. 850ai prints each letter and mails it USPS First Class with a postage stamp on the envelope, as part of the plan workflow. On Dispute Beast, mailing is either your own trip to the mailbox or a Sprint Mail charge that their blog says “cannot be determined before your letters are created.”
- You want to approve before anything is sent. 850ai mails nothing until you click send or Deploy, so every letter that goes out under your name is one you chose to send.
- You want the follow-up handled in the same place. 850ai tracks each dispute cycle and can escalate to the creditor and to a CFPB complaint. Dispute Beast’s blog walks you through filing a CFPB complaint on your own and attaching your letters.
- You would rather not buy monitoring from a partner. Dispute Beast’s FAQ says its AI features only work with an active third-party monitoring subscription. 850ai reads your three bureau reports as part of its plans.
What “mailing included” should mean
“Mailing” covers four different things, and they are worth separating before you compare prices. A PDF you download is not mail until you print, address, stamp, and post it yourself. An online dispute form is not mail at all; it is a web submission into the bureau’s own system. A metered envelope carries a printed postage strip from a mail house. A stamped First Class letter is ordinary mail that a person at the bureau has to open.
None of these guarantees an outcome, and a stamp does not make a bureau act. What differs is who does the work and what it costs. Dispute Beast’s FAQ says Sprint Mail sends through USPS First-Class Mail and that the fee varies with the number and size of your letters; the homepage pricing card also lists an “automated mailing service,” so check the quote on your first attack. 850ai sends with a postage stamp as part of the plan. Is Dispute Beast legit?
It is a real, working product. Its help page lists a business address in Wilmington, Delaware, and its homepage shows a Trustpilot rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 1,861 reviews. Its score-increase figures are its own reported averages, and its site adds that results vary. Read the guarantee terms before relying on the 110% refund, since their pricing card says an opt-in is required after signup. The same caution applies to every product here: no tool can guarantee a deletion, and accurate negative items can stay on a report no matter who writes the letter.
